As I Fine Art graduate I know very well the struggles of making it/money within the creative world.
When I found out about the brand BucketFeet, there was no way I wasn’t going to help spread the word about these amazing shoes, and the brilliant concept behind them.
It was 2008 when the co founders Aaron Firestein and Raaja Nemani met while volunteering with children in the slums of Argentina. It wasn’t long before they realized that their mutual love of art and travel could be put to good use, and by 2011 a way of channeling these passions was formed in the shape of Bucketfeet. The brand mission was to support worldwide artists by spreading their talent via the medium of of high quality shoes and this month see’s an exciting expansion into the UK with Office shoes.
‘During out travels we realized that there were millions of talented people around the world like Aaron, who didn’t get the exposure they deserved for their art.’ Nemanu said.
‘We wanted to change that so created BucketFeet as a platform to spread art and in the process create shoes that are original, that stand out, and do not follow the normal trends of most brands.’
The Summer 2013 Global Colours Collection includes designs by five international artists and perfectly captures the brands ethos to give exposure to deserved creatives and offering a stand out fashion item. The company provides a payment upfront as well as royalties for each pair sold.
