You are not alone, if you find Monday a struggle. Sunday you find yourself preoccupied on the impending doom of the following day. Even those that adore their job will find the prospect of waking up when it’s still dark out, or tackling the dreaded commute, a reason to hold a distain for Monday. As with most things, a change of mindset and some positive thinking can make a world of difference to how you deal with this notoriously challenging day. I know all that sort of stuff can sound a bit hippy dippy, or easier said than done, but it is definitely worth a shot, no?
If you are feeling far to negi to even be able to attempt tackling your thought processes then why not do something that will make your Monday a bit more bearable. It doesn’t have to be a massive thing, as we know its often the most simple things that can have the most drastic affect.
Recovering from a weekend of food poisoning I was feeling far from optimistic about the birth of a new week, but I decided to get up and go for a walk – despite my dizzy spells and achey joints. I knew it would likely lead to meeting a dog which I would inevitable fall in love with (I was right). Before heading home I popped into a charming Coffee shop and treated my self to a hot chocolate with oodles of frothy cream, indulged in some mindless gossip via HEAT magazine, while ripping at a croissant. These few minutes of bliss definitely helped me ease into the week, so maybe find something quick that will do the same for you….
Perhaps you could paint your nails….( I find a few minutes set aside just for you does the world of good)
Read your favourite blog……
Have a cuddle with your pet….
Have a nice bubble bath…
Have a natter with your best mate…
Give yourself something to look forward to after work hours – a DVD you want to watch, quick drink with a pal, do a silly dance around your bedroom…..
What do you find works for you?
