I find as I get older I care less about ticking the festival style trends….and well looking attractive in general. I am more inclined to think about what will be comfortable when considering I will on my feet for about 12 hours, while remembering that I will get a bit chilly come evening time…if not before. Yes, I know…I’m a granny. There’s nothing worse than not wanting to stay to watch some fantastic bands because your feet are bleeding and blistered, because your soggy with sweat or rain, or because you’ve gone all goosey and your skin turned to corn beef.
All week this day had been forecast at having thunderstorms, so there was no way I was going to wear shorts or any shoes that exposed the tootsies. That said, the weather people said it would be reasonably warm in the day, so I didn’t want to be completely wrapped up in wintery garb. It’s also a festival in a renowned surf and holiday destination, so I wanted to spread a bit of cheer with my ensemble.
I settled on my old ripped Topshop charcoal jeans, my Primark Timberland dupes – adding some tropical vibes via a surfer favourite….the hawaiian shirt. When the evening chill set in I put on my vintage camo jacket which I have recently accessorised with pins and badges.
