OUTFIT POST: DINING AT THE DORCHESTER

Yesterday my family and boyfriend were treated to roast lunch at The Dorchster by my brother and hs girlfriend to celebrate my Dad’s 70th. I’ll do a separate post about that soon, but I though I’d show you what I wore. It’s always a bit tricky knowing what to wear when going to a new place so I did some research online before getting ready. A couple of the comments on Trip Adviser actually mentioned that they were confused about the dress code, noticing that some people wer barely smart casual and others were in dinner jackets and ties. I decided as long as we look respectful and like we’ve made a bit of an effort we’d be acceptable diners at The Grill at The Dorchester.

I haven’t had a chance to wear my new Zara coat that I got at The Oracle last month as it’s quite a mature and dressy coat…not the ideal accompaniement to jeans and hoodies.

I teamed with my black cape dress ( the same as the cream one I wore at the Kerrangs!) and my trusty leopard print boots. I wanted to add a dash of animal print so I didn’t look too prinned up and proper. I found this faux amber necklace and though it the perfect addition to add a pop but also work well with the pallette of the boots.

What do you think of this formal look?
